Seagoing™ Paramarine™ FAQs

Q. Are compensated fuel tanks modelled by Seagoing Paramarine? A. Yes, when the fuel content of a compensated fuel tank is set by the user it is assumed that the remaining percentage of the tank is assumed to be filled with water. The user can also specify the compensated fuel tank as empty of both fuel and water.

Q. Does Seagoing Paramarine require a licence dongle? A. To avoid a license dongle expiring at sea causing the software to fail to operate, with the subsequent possibility of a loss of safety, a non-dongle based license system is used.

Q. Can a loading condition within Seagoing Paramarine be saved for later reference? A. Full facilities are provided for saving and recalling data sets, enabling loading conditions of interest to be accessed at anytime.

Q. What form does the necessary 3D computer model of my ship have to be in? A. To be able to utilise Seagoing Paramarine there must be first a stability model in Paramarine™. This can be imported from most other 3D CAD packages or can be formed from scratch using drawing data. GRC is in a position to model any ship or to adjust an existing design to be in a suitable form to be used by Seagoing Paramarine. This normally forms an integral part of the purchase contract.
