Stability Criteria - Submarines (A005)

This module allows the designer to assess the stability of a submarine using the following standards and tools:

  • Calculation of submerged BG
  • UK Ministry of Defence Naval Engineering Standard 189 criteria
    (intact and damaged surface stability, surfacing under ice)
  • Calculation of Main Ballast Tank blowable capacity and reserve of buoyancy
  • Trim polygon calculations.
  • Calculation of trim draughts.
This module is designed to be used in addition to the Stability Calculator (A003) which provides the core stability functionality.
