Coming Soon
Whilst much has been achieved there is much more that can be done to provide the necessary up-to-date
design and analysis environment to meet the current needs. We have found the existing and potential
user base the natural place to seek advice on how to meet these needs. Some of the other areas we will
be starting to address (some of which already in progress) are:
Paramarine:
- Design for Production (See our paper "Advantages of Software Integration from
Initial Design through to Production Design" under Downloads)
- Interface to Tribon HULL production system: A preliminary interface has been
created between Paramarine DFP (see below) and Tribon HULL which allows for the
dynamic export of structure from Paramarine directly to Tribon. Please contact
GRC if you wish to trial this in an Alpha Release.
- Hull Generator, enabling creation production definition hull forms from first principles
or from existing geometry.
- Structural Reliability and Costing
- Production system integration
- Concurrent Design and Engineering (Ultramarine)
- Enhanced Seakeeping
- Enhanced Ship Manoeuvring
- Upgraded Fragmentation Vulnerability assessment
Seagoing Paramarine:
- Seagoing Paramarine for Submarines is the next major release for Seagoing Paramarine.
It has already been largely implemented, to read more please click here.
- Bulkhead collapse
- Crack propagation
- Deck Collapse
- Structural damage(NS94D)
Last Release (August 2004)
Paramarine:
-
Docking Analysis calculations are an improvement on NES109 docking
objects allowing the user to use a condition (including uncertainties and
damage case) to calculate the suing load on the ship and how the stability
changes during the drain down of the dock
-
Enhanced Structural Definition addition object for group panels, girders
and stiffener schemas with attributes
-
FREDYN interface now makes it possible to export ship and compartment definitions to
files that can be read by FREDYN
-
IntelliHull contains objects to enable a high level 3D surface generation for
marine vehicles. The methodology assists in developing hull surfaces quickly with desired form
properties and shape, including bulbous bows
-
Launching objects allow slipway definition, analysis and also the dynamics of a
stern launch
-
Submarine Manoeuvring initial derivatives simulation, open loop simulation and
Hydroplane Jam simulation
-
Submarine Powering objects are used to estimate power for both surfaced and
submerged conditions including appendages
-
User Interface improvements features include the Find dialog, Graphs, Screen
Capture and a new Paste Special command
Seagoing Paramarine:
- Docking
- An improved User Interface, including enhanced deck plan view.
- Grounding analysis
- Longitudinal Strength
- Zone naming
- Abiltiy to change tank fluid contents

With the built-in advantages of the solid model we are now able to look at link to the multi-patch
production definitions. Shown is an early 58 patch design, sewn together to create a Paramarine
model using the power of Parasolids from a production system definition.
